Christchurch is about 2 h 40 from Brighton by train, with one change (National Rail): a long day, or an overnight stay. The Priory, on Quay Road, has stood at the heart of the town for over 900 years, in its own words; it is open to visitors daily from 10am to 4pm, except during services and events.
