Beachy Head rises above the sea west of Eastbourne, in the South Downs National Park. The red-and-white lighthouse stands in the sea at the foot of the cliffs; Belle Tout, the old lighthouse, stands on the clifftop to the west. The Beachy Head Experience visitor centre opened on 24 October 2026. Stay on marked paths and well back from the edge: the chalk can collapse without warning.
