About The North Laine: the back story

The North Laine lies between Brighton station and the Royal Pavilion: a conservation area of small streets, saved by a community campaign in the 1970s, with vintage shops, record shops, cafés, pubs and small music venues.

Shops

Snoopers Paradise, Resident, Gresham Blake and Route One, among many independents.

Music

The Prince Albert, the Green Door Store, Komedia and A L P H A B E T.

Walk down from the station through Kensington Gardens and Gardner Street.

Culture

Brighton Dome, the Theatre Royal, Brighton Museum and the Royal Pavilion are at its southern edge.

Our advice: come on a weekday for the shops, and on a weekend night for the music.
