About Tudor House & Garden

Tudor House is the city’s most important historic building, built in the late fifteenth century on St Michael’s Square. In its garden stands King John’s Palace, a Norman house three centuries older. It first opened as a museum in 1912; a film and light show and an audio guide tell the stories of people who lived here, from a Tudor Lord Chief Justice to a Victorian hat maker.
