About The New Forest National Park

The New Forest became a National Park in 2005. About 5,000 New Forest ponies, owned by the commoners, graze the heaths alongside cattle and pigs. Keep your distance from the animals, and don’t feed or pet them. Brockenhurst station is about 2 h 15 to 2 h 25 from Brighton, with one change (National Rail).

Why it's on our list
