About The Guildhall clock and High Street
Guildford’s High Street runs steeply down to the river on cobbles, lined with elegant buildings and boutique shops. The Guildhall’s gilded clock, dated 1683, projects over the street; a farmers’ market fills it on the first Tuesday of the month, except in January.
