About Southampton Common
Southampton Common covers more than 365 acres north of the city centre and is a Site of Special Scientific Interest, with woodland trails, open grassland, ornamental gardens and ponds. The Hawthorns Urban Wildlife Centre is the place to start; there are play areas and a model yachting lake too.
