About Guildford Castle grounds

The castle grounds opened as public gardens in 1888 to mark Queen Victoria’s Golden Jubilee. They are famous for their floral displays around the eleventh-century keep, with an Alice Through the Looking Glass statue, a bowling green and summer concerts in the bandstand, and open every day from 8am to dusk.
