Eastbourne Pier opened in 1872. Since the fire of 2014 it has a new walkway, and it still has shops, a fish and chip shop, a café-bar, Victorian tea rooms and fishing, with views over the Channel. It has appeared in Poirot and Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging, among many others.
